Our mate Kay Longstaff has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

Nationwide

There is no cure – but it can be treated so Kay can enjoy some quality of life.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurodegenerative condition. Parkinson’s has both motor and non-motor symptoms, and while there is no cure it can be treated and we want to help Kay and her family with that treatment and so much more. Giving a little will help a hell of a lot!

This condition is already attacking Kay’s brain and it will only get worse. Very soon all those every-day tasks we often take for granted will become impossible for Kay to do. Things like taking a walk, like talking, like eating.

Kay is 53 years old, married to the lovely Greg, and they have a beautiful daughter, 19yr old Anneliese. Kay is one of the most caring, most giving, and most thoughtful people you would ever have the pleasure to meet. We’re not going to paint her a saint though, she’s quite human like the rest of us, but WOW this lady is special. Usually Kay’s helping everyone else – give her a clown outfit & some face paint and she’s the first one at fundraising events or school events or work do’s helping out.

We need to help Kay and her family as much as possible!! We need to help in any way we can, whether it’s for medical and living expenses, alternative therapies, in-home care, or mobility equipment like a walker or wheelchair. The alternative therapy chosen by Kay will help her body stay at its possible best as this awful disease takes hold. Kay’s day to day quality of life is what we’re focusing on here, because there is no cure.

A word from Kay: “For too long I have been paying Doctors & Specialists truckloads to try and tell me what my sickness is being caused by. At BeWell it is about finding out my current wellness status and what I can do to maximize it. Over a dozen scientifically validated and innovative tests give a true indication of my current state of wellness, including biological age, how different parts of my body are functioning, levels of inflammation, absorption of nutrients, levels of toxicity, my body’s ability to digest and eliminate and much more. The test results provide the basis for a treatment plan to address my body’s weak spots and maximize my wellness. As I am suffering from a specific condition, the causes underlying the symptoms are identified and addressed, allowing my body to heal itself and bring about wellness.”

Kay and her family need some helping hands; they need you, they need us, they need hope, they need strength, they need courage, and they need hugs, but most of all they need support.

Please, be a mate – and donate.
