Keira is in pain and urgently needs your help!

Keira (a corgi/foxy cross), is my much loved friend and companion and as a widow and a pensioner my life would be very, very lonely without her!

Since the day I first brought her home from the SPCA as a tiny wee puppy a decade or so ago we have been the best of friends and she easily endears herself to everyone who meets her with her wonderful, friendly and gentle nature.

Lately she has been suffering with pain in her rear legs which the vet advises me needs surgery to remedy and on top of this she has the most horrendously bad breath which he says is due to some rotten teeth, one of which is broken - they need to be extracted before abscesses form and cause even further health issues for her.

She is in so much pain, grinding her teeth and unable to eat properly because of this...I couldn't understand how this could happen as I have always given her bones and treats designed to help with her dental health but the vet says some dogs will just have these problems to varying degrees no matter what you do.

The vet has assured me that apart from these two issues her health is good and her heart is very strong but these problems need to be dealt with urgently...I just can't stand to see her in pain - the only other option would be to have her put to sleep but it breaks my heart to even consider this except as a last resort.

I have tried everything I can to try to raise this money but have so far been unsuccessful...this is my last chance to help my wee friend so if you could see your way clear to helping us we would be very grateful...every little bit helps!
