Helping small business owner Kelly to keep her business running throughout her cancer journey.
Christchurch, Canterbury
Our beautiful friend Kelly, owner of Mini Moocher in Christchurch, has recently been diagnosed with grade three, triple negative breast cancer.
Kelly is one of the hardest working, kindest people you could meet. She has built Mini Moocher from the ground up on her own, creating not just a shop, but a safe and welcoming community space for so many people.
Over the next 24 weeks, Kelly will begin chemotherapy treatment while also facing surgery and ongoing medical appointments. Although she has great support from friends and family who can assist during this time, being a self-employed small business owner comes with enormous financial pressure and uncertainty - there is no sick leave or financial assistance.
Anyone who knows Kelly, knows she is a fighter, and is determined to keep Mini Moocher running as much as she can throughout treatments, surgery and appointments.
We would love to ease some of the financial stress so she can focus on what matters most right now, her health and healing.
If you're able to donate no matter how small, it would mean the world and if you can't donate, sharing this page would help immensely.
Thank you for supporting Kelly through this extremely difficult chapter. Feel free to find updates on her progress at https://www.facebook.com/mini.moocher.nz
