Kelly’s fight for life ...

The 24th of July 2020 - the worst day to date! This is the day that our gorgeous girl Kelly - the most selfless, giving, beautiful wife, mum, daughter, sister, Aunty and friend to so many was diagnosed with something no one wants to hear - cancer. Kelly has stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma in the anal canal that has metastasised to her pelvis, spine, skull and shoulder. It’s beyond devastating for all that know Kelly, especially for Kelly herself, she’s 35, married to the love of her life and they have 3 young children together.

For those who are lucky enough to know Kelly will know just what an incredible person she is. Kelly lives for and does anything and everything for her kids, her family and friends. I haven’t ever known a time where Kelly will say no or let you down.

Kelly is not prepared to give up which is what I love most about her, she has the determination and the most positive attitude to kick this cancers ass! However things are getting a bit tougher now and she needs some help. She is definitely not one to ask for it but is slowly coming to the realisation that we are all in this together and with her all the way. Kelly has already had multiple rounds of radiation and chemo and is about to start chemo again next week along with a shoulder operation to remove the tumor and reconstruct a break caused by the tumor. There are other treatment options available that we want to get Kelly onto asap to give her the best chance she can possibly have to continue to live the life she truly deserves, however these treatments are not funded and are very expensive.

I’m asking you all to give a little to someone who gives so much - whether it be a message with support and strength, or a dollar to help support the alternative treatments and costly daily expenses - we will accept and appreciate it all. It’s now that Kelly needs all the help from her village to ensure her journey is far from finished.

Funds will go on: Kelly needs to keep on fighting and can’t focus on and worry about $. Her fight so far has already been expensive - petrol, parking, prescriptions, food etc. and it’s only going cost more from here. Any funds that are donated will go towards treatments and living expenses.
