I am heading to Cambodia to volunteer for an education charity, "Shine Cambodia". I hope to raise over $1k to support this wonderful school
Wellington
In April, I leave New Zealand for 6 months to volunteer my time teaching, supporting staff and helping the community in Otres, Cambodia. Cambodia is one of Asia's poorest countries, and has suffered a genocide only 40 years ago that killed nearly two million people, wiping out almost a quarter of its population. Shine Cambodia is an education charity that educates and empowers Cambodian youth to be the vehicles of social change. Every cent I raise will go towards school supplies, payment for the Cambodian teachers, food for the students and community development. Recently hundreds of homes in the area have been demolished to make room for international investor projects, displacing many people. Shine Cambodia are committed to supporting these people rebuild their lives by providing fundamental supplies at this time.
I am heading to donate 6 months of my time to Shine Cambodia, an education charity based in Otres, Cambodia. I will donate to support their running costs and fund their development
Food for the children, school supplies, Cambodian teachers wages, mosquito nets for local babies in the community, water and resources for recently displaced locals, books and school supplies for the students.
