Please help us with our electrical costs for setting up our Warehouse so we can prototype building whare faster!

Kia hanga project is run through Te Rua o Mahara Wairarapa in partnership with Tahetoka Limited. Amber Craig (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa, Rangitāne o Wairarapa) is project lead and has worked closely with John Hart from Fab Lab in Masterton. We are utilising technology, WikiHouse designs and mātauranga Māori to prototype building housing faster and more efficient for our whānau, hapū and wider community.

They have purchased and installed a CNC Router (with thanks to many of you already) within a warehouse in Carterton. As part of the installation there was the need for an Electrician to come in to install 3 phase power for the machine.

The rough estimate was around $5,000 for us to fund. However, the bill came in at $18,317.81 and our landlords were able to contribute $5,000.

We're asking for any help for the additional costs. We are very much run on aroha to make a difference within our whānau, hapū and community, so your support means everything to us.

About us

Our mission is that whānau are connected, inspired and empowered to share opportunities to thrive and lead in Te Ao.

Use of funds

We have a $13,317.81 Electrician Bill for the three phase power set up of our Warehouse so all funds will go to paying that. If for some reason we get higher than this, the costs will go to our rent and plywood costs.
