Raising money to help Kaue's family, rehabilitation and life.

Our friend and colleague, Kaue, recently had an accident which changed his life forever. After being flown to Christchurch hospital, a few days later we received the devastating news that he has damaged the C6/C7 in his spine and is now paralysed from the waist downwards. A miracle aside, he will now be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, as well as have limited hand and arm movement for the foreseeable future. With a daughter at university at home in Brazil and another due to be born in December, we are raising money to help his family, his rehabilitation and his life. Please give generously to help Kau as much as you can xx

Kau is as a friend, first and foremost, but I am also his manager at the workplace where he had the accident.
Use of funds
The money will be spent on family members visiting Kaue from Brazil, rehabilitation aids to help him when he is able to leave hospital and supporting him in his challenging life ahead.

As per the request of Kaue, funds from this page will now be paid to his employer Ian Mcdonald who will receive the funds on Kaue's behalf. Ian will pass the funds onto Kaue at a later date.
