    Part 2

    I had the PET scan last week and received a phone call yesterday confirming that Yes, all my lungs are fully clear and there is no remaining Cancer throughout. Awesome news! It was unclear if there is a tiny bit of the large tumour that may still have some active cells so my Oncologist is seeking a second opinion which I am currently waiting to hear back. In this case I would potentially seek a quick Zap of radiation to remove any doubt and know that its definitely knocked on the head.

    As I mentioned earlier, I fell better each day that goes by and I am now easing back to into exercise. Iv been doing some easy strength and conditioning work at home, and more recently I have been getting some cardio fitness in too. I have gained most of the weight that I have lost since the start, and my hair is just starting to grow again, albeit very soft fluffy stuff at the moment :)

    We have been truly grateful for all of the support we have received from the start, its been a very humbling experience, and whilst it was challenging, I see only positives when I look back on my journey so far. Thank you all for your love and support, it has meant so much to us xoxox

    Im not sure if I get my next update in time before this page will close down, but rest assured I will be crossing that finish line very soon....

    This has made me appreciate living a bit more in the present, as tomorrow is never promised to us. Love you all, catch up soon

    Part 1

    Hi everyone,

    I hope you are all doing well and enjoying yourselves :)

    A quick update on my situation;

    4 Months on from my diagnosis mid/late January and I am feeling really really really good!

    At the end of my 3rd cycle of chemo (which was late March) things have slowly been getting better and better each day where I feel like now Im really starting to hit my straps which is a great feeling considering how I was leading upto Xmas!

    I had a follow up CT scan about 6 weeks ago which upon receiving the results (a couple weeks later) indicated that the Cancer throughout my lungs had pretty much all disappeared, and the large tumor located in my lower spine/back of abdomen had also greatly reduced in size. Basically the chemotherapy treatment had done exactly what my Oncologist had expected it do which was a great 'line in the sand' for me as it confirmed that everything was progressing how I hoped it would. It now became a matter of 'when', not 'if' that I would complete my full recovery. The CT scan above still showed a couple of spots that were still visible, and meant I would require PET CT scan to identify if these visible areas were just scar tissue or if in fact there was still any living cancer in those areas, most notably the larger tumor by spine was the main area in question.

    To be continued...

    A quick update, I am recovering well from the surgery and today is my 3rd day of chemotherapy and so far it’s going ok, my energy levels slumped a bit yesterday but otherwise things are ok for now…. Taking it 1 day at a time and will roll with the punches as they come.

    But Bring it on I say! Every day (good or bad) is another day closer to looking back on this with a smile and moving on. Ill knock this for a home run and catch up with you all soon. Our sincere thanks to you all, love you heaps
