Kidpower for Young Children in Auckland

$40 of $5,000 goal
Given by 2 generous donors in around 6 months

We are aiming to reach 1000 children, teachers and parents/whanau through the Kidpower for Young Children Programme and Resource in South A

Nationwide

In the year ending June 2012, CYF received 152,800 notifications (reports of concern), including family violence referrals from Police.

Feeling safe is a major prerequisite for a person to learn and to reach their full potential is well documented. Our Kidpower for Young Children Programme and Resources include Kidpower for Children, Professional Development for Teachers/Caregivers and Parent/Whanau workshops.

About us

Instead of using fear to teach children to be safe, our programs are fun and empowering. We teach young people verbal and physical safety skills to reduce their risk of emotional and sexual abuse, bullying, assault and abduction. Kids learn to use their voices to speak up about safety concerns and get help from trusted adults.

Awesome programme ... Very child friendly programme that was tailored to the age and the children’s needs. Loved that my daughter has some everyday skills to deal with name calling and knows how and whom to get help from!
