Life changing tools for marginalised youth

  • Funding for our 2020 ATAWHAI Program

      19 March 2020

    Kia ora everyone!

Our vision for the future is as strong as ever, especially in these tumultuous times - "that every young person in Aotearoa has the skills to navigate life’s challenges, improve their wellbeing and live a meaningful life."

We now ask for your help so in 2020 we can continue our kaupapa which is showing continued success in terms of efficacy and impact to our rangatahi and wider communities, with external research finding incredible initial results* from our 2019 program:

University of Waikato have conducted a research project on ATAWHAI. Initial results indicate a significant increase in positive emotions with a very large effect size and significant decrease in anxiety levels during the intensive program and over the duration of the evaluation period from March to December 2019. Based on the evaluation findings, The University of Waikato Research Team is happy in endorsing The Kindness Institute’s Atawhai programme. “We are convinced it has a profound and significant positive effect on the wellbeing of the young people it serves.” *Full report still pending, initial results only.

Any amount helps us run the daily operations, staff costs and day-to-day expenses needed to continue this important mahi. Thank you for your kindness, which allows us to pass it on.

    Ngā mihi nui.
