Lend a hand to the Sapsford Family.
Ian is widely celebrated as the King of Blair Street in Wellington's hospitality world. His warm and gentle nature, combined with a strong presence, creates an atmosphere of safety and relaxation for everyone around him, allowing them to truly enjoy their time.
Mary Jane, on the other hand, is a reserved individual with a powerful mindset, choosing to express herself through her actions.
Together, Ian and Mary Jane have nurtured five beautiful young wahine, and when two more tamariki needed support, they opened their hearts and home to them.
Their selfless actions inspire others to reflect on their own capacity for generosity and kindness, ensuring that our youth can flourish.
In recent years, they have faced challenges that would overwhelm many, yet Ian and Mary Jane have tackled these obstacles hand in hand. However, like many of us, they have reached a point where they need external support.
Earlier this year, Ian was diagnosed with stage four cancer, with Lymphoma B cell Non-Hodgkin and high grade lymphoma while Mary Jane is dealing with a serious leg injury that complicates her mobility.
The struggles they have faced in silence have made it impossible for them to continue working.
Now, it is our turn to return the love and support they have so freely given.
Please consider contributing whatever you can to help provide them with the security they need to move forward with hope and confidence.
A very close friend of theirs and to their wider family.
Travel costs to and from the hospital for constant treatment and general household bills and maintenance of home.
