Help Reco Take on the World!

Reco Ward-Levao and his Tauranga-based dance crew, Space Proteam, have done it! — winning back-to-back National titles at the Hip Hop International NZ Championships! This incredible achievement means they are heading to Phoenix, Arizona this July to represent New Zealand on the world stage in the Varsity Mega Crew Division.

The World Hip Hop Championships are the largest of their kind, with the best dance crews from across the globe battling it out over an intense week of competition. Space Proteam and Reco are no strangers to this arena — last year, they placed an outstanding 5th in the world. Now, they’re heading back with even bigger goals: to medal for New Zealand!

Reco is just 14 years old, but his passion and work ethic are beyond his years. He dedicates countless hours to training and is known as one of the hardest workers in his crew. However, getting to Worlds is a massive financial commitment — with all travel, accommodation, and competition costs being self-funded.
