Help provide for end of life unfunded drugs to give Tim comfortable and dignified final months.
Whanganui, Manawatu-Wanganui
Koha for this awesome man and his lifetime dedication to families & whānau & extended family & hapu to provide quality care for their children and young people.
Now is our time to support Tim in his fight for a comfortable and dignified end of life. He needs life saving drugs that are not funded by the NZ Government to prolong his life for a few more months. The unfunded treatment includes the drugs Binimetinib and Encorafenib for metastatic melanoma which has now presented in his brain. He has received Government funded treatment for his condition, however this has been discontinued as it had not worked on the tumours in his brain. His time is limited however he is positive and we want to give him the best and most comfortable last few months.
Tim felt drawn to the social services industry through a deep-rooted passion for social justice and equity. Tim wants political and economic systems to uphold the mana and dignity of people. Tim has been on a 40+ year journey in the social service industry. He has led Jigsaw Whanganui for the past 20 years.
I am Tim's partner of 33 years, we have two children and two grandchildren.

GOOD BUT NOT SO GOOD 4 November 2024
Hi everyone. Just an update to say that the B Raff tablets have not worked so Tim has stopped taking them and is now under the Hospice for palliative care. He is now on steroids and is feeling good at the moment. We have done a couple of trips with the caravan and will take each day as it comes. Thank you all for your kind donations and messages. Aroha from Tim and whanau.
