We need a second van and to secure a much larger storage space & hub for Koha in Auckland. This is the next big step for our mission.

Koha Apparel is a not-for-profit, pay-as-you-can retail experience, using new and repurposed apparel. Our mission is repurposing quality clothing for those vulnerable in our community. Our pop-up utilises a take what you need, give what you can concept which allows those struggling financially to access clean clothing for free. We also aim to reduce the amount of clothing waste going to landfill.

We currently run 12 pop-ups a month throughout the greater Auckland region, Whangarei and Bay of Plenty. As of March 2021 we have expanded our services to Wellington, we are hoping to double our reach with this expansion.

2021 has rapidly become a big year for Koha Apparel! By reaching more people through more pop-ups, in more regions and receiving even more donations than ever, we are looking to secure a much larger storage space which will be our Auckland hub. To double our reach to Wellington we need to purchase van number two - it is really happening!!

Use of funds

We will use the funds to buy another van and secure a warehouse space which will be our Auckland hub to sort, launder and store the donations we receive!
