Supporting Sophie and her family after a serious car accident.
Taranaki
Koha (Donations) for Sophie, Tim and Lewyn
On Wednesday the 15th of April, our beloved Sophie was involved in a serious car accident in Australia where she lives. She was driving straight and was hit from the side by another driver while Lewyn was in the back seat.
The impact was severe and Soph had to be cut from the car and taken by ambulance to the hospital where she stayed for three nights and had surgery.
Thankfully, little Lewyn was unharmed by the accident ❤️
Soph however, has taken a significant hit. She has broken both of her arms, both are now in casts, and she will be unable to use them for the next 6 weeks. The shock of what has happened and the implications of it all are still being processed. But we do know that the coming weeks and months will be really tricky for Sophie and Tim caring for 4-month-old Lewyn and managing Soph's care.
This page is a space for Sophie and Tim's friends, family and community to come together. If you feel compelled, and according to your own capacity, any koha you can offer will go directly towards supporting the family. Funds will be put towards immediate care and medical expenses, and living costs to support Sophie and her family with living costs. Some insurance may be available but will not cover everything.
Tim Lewyn and Soph are so grateful for the love and support.
We are all so lucky to still have Soph with us.
With lots and lots of love - Claire xx
I am a close friend of Sophie's and was visiting at the time of the accident.
Funds will go to Sophie for in-home support, homeopathic medicine, holistic treatments, and living costs to support her family during this time.
