Kōhine Māori Movement
Hawke's Bay
Kōhine Māori movement is a kaupapa that was co-designed by Kōhine Māori for Kōhine Māori to overcome the barriers and struggles of employment and education.
This is a 20 week course combined of personal and professional development, whilst also empowering wahinetanga, māmāhood, and rangatahitanga.
Entrepreneurship is a key element of our kaupapa.
Through this 20 weeks each Kōhine is given the challenge of raising $1000 each through fundraising.
50% of the funds raised goes towards a community event which is created and executed by the Kōhine themselves, whilst the other 50% goes towards the incentives and awards of their graduation.
