Fundraising for Insurance costs
Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty
Being a Search & Rescue volunteer can be tough financially, But having the additional expense of a Search & Rescue dog is even harder. A search & Rescue dog is purchased and raised at the sole expense of the owner (Me) there's no direct government funding. All costs, being equipment, vet costs, training equipment is paid for by the volunteer.
A part of ensuring Kora can continue to provide search-dog services to the public of New Zealand is making sure we have adequate Insurance cover should she get injured carrying out her duties.
Unfortunately this has a significant cost, which without help will need to be covered by Kora's owner.
We are asking for donations to cover the cost of Koras Insurance Policy. ($1077). Any additional funds raised will go towards paying the excess for any claims required and any vet visits, treatments required.
Kora is my personal Dog that was trained specifically for Search & Rescue
