This week is Kororia - Rose 6th birthday. She is very excited and so are her whanau as she will be able to come home for her FROZEN theme birthday. This is a milestone as it is her first time away from Wilson Trust and hospital since January.

The team at Wilson Centre are fantastic. Kororia-Rose rehabilitation has been great.

Neurologist are happy with her progress though only the SCANS due May or June will provide whether any further medical procedures are necessary. We her whanau remain positive she is on the road to recovery..

Will update everyone once she has her SCANS

Yay I am so EXCITED to be at the Wilson Place

    Update. Rehabilitation and Medical

Kororia – Rose is now at Wilson Centre doing physiotherapy aimed at strengthening her mobility on her right-side. She loves it and can not wait until she can spend time in the swimming/hydra -pool.

School work – she always loved learning. And this has not changed.

She is so excited about going swimming in the pool

    Medical

Neuro doctors have scheduled her for an MRI in 3 months – allowing time for her brain to recover.

Further treatment plans including surgery will be dependent on what they find in the MRI. At this stage she will have to wear the helmet on her head to protect the area that is open while she recovers and waits for her MRI in May or June.

We remain positive and believe with a robust support plan involving her medical, personal and physio and therapeutic cares we can look after Kororia-Rose at home until her MRI in May or June

    Homecoming and Birthday

We are hoping her stay at Wilson Centre is not to long and she can be home before her 6th birthday on April 22nd.

We have added photos of her progress to this update. And email this update and attached photos to everyone who has supported our Kororia-Rose.

As always thanks everyone for your donation and ongoing support for our ‘Hunny’ Kororia -Rose.

    Arohanui and big hugs

    Kororia – Rose and whanau

  • Update and Thank you

    Medical update.

It has been 3 weeks since surgery - her status is stable and there are no visible concerns. Though only the Angiogram scheduled for mid- March will determine treatment plans if any needed moving forward.

Kororia - Rose recovery is going really well, she is strong and amazes doctors and others with her determination. She has increased mobility in her right side and ability to talk - wee steps but she will get there.

    Appreciation and Thank you

We appreciate all the support and donations received so far for our Kororia-Rose Hunny. This has meant so much as we have been able to purchase items to keep her mind busy and a tablet so she can have video calls with her siblings and whanau.

We will update everyone once we have a confirmed date for her Angiogram.

Please continue to donate and share our Kororia-Rose Givealittle journey. click on her facebook link on this page to access photos and videos or post a comment for her and whanau to share and read

  • Kororia-Rose progress

It has been 2 weeks since Kororia - Rose (Hunny) 2nd surgery. she is doing well despite limited mobility in her right side which initially seemed not likely thanks to the fantastic team of doctors, neurologists, specialist and physios at Starship.Hosoital.

Hunny is scheduled for Angiogram mid March Neurologists believe her brain would have recovered enough from the 2 bleeds for them to do Angiogram to 1st locate where AVM is located and if there are anymore. Hunny treatment plans will based on what Neurologists find during the Angiogram.

    We will update everyone

Thank you all for your support
