Supporting our young moko's recovery after a serious neck injury, helping his whānau stay by his side in Christchurch.
Waitara, Taranaki
Our young moko has sustained a serious neck injury and is currently receiving specialist treatment at the Christchurch Spinal Unit. This unexpected and distressing event has had a significant impact on his whānau and all who know him.
He has contributed greatly to our community through his voluntary work as a Jiu-Jitsu tutor, giving his time to support tamariki in building confidence, discipline, and resilience. His dedication has positively influenced many children, including those who were experiencing challenges such as bullying. He has done all of this quietly, without ever asking for anything in return.
At this time, it is our turn to support him and his whānau.
Your contribution will assist with travel to Christchurch, accommodation and kai while staying near him, rehabilitation and recovery costs, and any additional support required during his long-term healing journey.
While government support is available, this does not cover everything.
Every donation, whether large or small, will provide meaningful help for this young man and his whānau during a very difficult period. Your generosity, kindness, and compassion are sincerely appreciated.
Ngā mihi nui.
Whānau travel to Christchurch, accommodation and kai while staying near him. Rehabilitation and recovery costs, and extra assistance needed throughout his long healing journey.
