Health Care in Guatemala
I am trying to raise funds for a service trip to provide specialist Speech Therapy services to patients in Guatemala.

My name is Dr Kristin (Lamvik) Gozdzikowska - I earned my Ph.D. degree last year from the University of Canterbury, specialising in evaluating and treating patients with swallowing disorders as a result of neurologic damage such as stroke, traumatic brain injury and degenerative diseases, such as dementia or Parkinson's Disease.
I am planning a service trip to Guatemala with the University of Washington Rehabilitation Programme (where I got my Master's degree). They are partnering with services in Central America to provide specialist health care services to people living in poverty in the U.S., Central and South America.
On this trip, I would spend time with locals and patients, working with graduate students from the states and lending a helping hand in rehabilitation centres. Looking forward to giving back if I can!
