The unfortunate ongoing battle with Immigration New Zealand in Manila (Philippines) and the Minister of Immigration and associates.

Hawke's Bay

We are a loving couple that have been together in a relationship for 4 years. My fiancee Krystel and I lived together in New Zealand, Napier when she was here in 2014 for about 16 months, at first on a visitors visa, then a work visa under partnership family category. My fiancee was always told by doctors that she would not be able to have children, this proved to be incorrect as she fell pregnant in March 2015. We had no idea that she was pregnant until this was confirmed in late June 2015. We had a brief breakdown of our relationship for a couple of months before Krystel realized she was pregnant, we know some women can have a form of depression when pregnant. Unfortunately by the time we had reunited and rekindled our relationship Krystel had made plans to return to the Philippines. We notified Immigration New Zealand officials as soon as she left that we were still together, unfortunately it appears as though our honesty may have cost her coming back into New Zealand to give birth as they cancelled her visa straight away without notifying us. I purchased her a ticket to come back to New Zealand at week 35 of her pregnancy only for her to be denied at check in and she was made to return to her province, alone, confused and offcourse heavily pregnant. Not long after Johnny Kieran was born we continued to gather supporting documents to present to Immigration New Zealand when we felt we had enough to be successful. I visited the Philippines and first met my son in May of 2016. We knew that INZ would sooner or later request evidence that Johnny Kieran was mine so I took a DNA kit with me, this was confirmed upon my arrival back to New Zealand. On October 11 we finally felt we had gathered enough information to present a solid case to INZ, however this proved to be a nightmare for us as they continually put obstacles in our path and I believe forced us to acquire expensive legal costs which turned out to be a hopeless cause as they always had the upper hand and final decision. We requested ministerial intervention. We finally got a disappointing decision on the 21 August 2017, after waiting 10.5 months saying quite simply he refused to intervene in our case with no explanation as to why not. Hence we decided to continue to take the fight to them and try raise funds to do so. This is very wrong and it seems like a direct intention to ruin a family and give a little boy that technically is a NZ citizen by descent next to no hope in a 3rd world country that ISIS and the war on drugs there has made its presence felt hard. Please help us!
