Help Kuda Kick Cancer Into Remission
To help with Kudas chemotherapy costs to get his Lymphoma into remission.

Anyone who knows Kuda KNOWS that he is the biggest snugglepot and is lost without his favourite blanket. We adopted him 4 years ago and brought him back home to New Zealand along with our other dog Buddy when we returned home from a few years in Australia. Kuda turned 8 years old in November just gone... not that you would be able tell as he bounds around like a puppy!
In January 2020 Kuda started to show some out of character behaviours, got a large hard rash on his tail, his muzzle swelled up and his lymph nodes were the size of golf balls.
Off to the vet we went, hoping for just an allergy as that's usually what we went for. But it was different this time, as soon as Dr Garry saw the size of all Kudas lymph nodes, it was an immediate diagnosis of Lymphoma.
We aren't ready for Kuda to leave this world (we never will be) but we want to help him stay here longer as he is an amazing dog and deserves the best. He has become a huge part of our lives and there is so much love for him.
Kuda has started chemotherapy today (10 Feb) and it's going to cost us $3,000 - 4,000 for his treatment. He will be going into the vet clinic one day a week for potentially up to 25 weeks (6 months) as well as tablets at home.
We would be over the moon to receive any help with paying for this, any amount would be pawsomely helpful for us and Kuda. Any surplus funds at the end will go onto Kudas vet account at VetCare Bethlehem for future use.

Not good news 4 November 2020
Sadly a couple of weeks ago we noticed Kudas lymphnodes were swollen again and the vet confirmed his lymphoma is back.
Really disappointing and upsetting as he only finished treatment a couple months prior, we were really hoping it would give him another year or so.
We had a few options, go through the 6month chemo again, go through a less intense treatment plan, or do nothing.
Considering that the lymphoma came back after 2 months, we didn't think spending thousands on chemo again was a good option, the less intense treatment plan fell into the same thought train - lots of money for a very uncertain gain and stress for Kuda.
So we have decided to enjoy our time with Kuda and he is taking some medication that will ease his symptoms and give him a wee bit longer with us. There is only so much treatment can do, we feel we have made the best decision for him, it wasn't an easy One!
He is getting lots of cuddles, special treatment and pats galore. ❤❤

Thank you so much Steve 🐶 unfortunately about 2 weeks ago, Kuda has come out of remission and his lymphoma has come back 😪 we are doing some palliative treatment and enjoying our days with him.
