This page has been set up to support Daniel in his pursuit to a once in a life time opportunity of playing Basketball in the US with Playmaker AAU 2025.
This 16yr old Cook Island boy moved to Australia when he was 4, with his single mum and older brother and sister.
Daniel comes from a very humble upbringing with mum working extra long hours to fund sports fees and still somehow making sure to watch his every game.
Daniel has been playing basketball since he was 5 and we believe he has the talent and work ethic to go all the way! He says his dream is to play in the USA, and rep the Cook Islands :)
They’ve missed out on a few things because of a lack of resources, but this one we don’t want to miss! They are amazing people. Kind and caring. Always willing to support others! They hold true to our pacific values. But now they are at a point where mum can’t do it alone and they need the support of a village to get this boy through the right doors.
So if you can, please donate to this cause and change the life of a soon to be 16 year old kid and his mum.
I’m Daniel’s aunty Eve! My sister, Gershom, is the most hard working person I know. She’s stressed about missing this opportunity and too shy to create a page like this, but I believe she deserves a break from the financial burden and hope we can all help her!
$9,200AUD is the cost of the program, Playmaker AAU 2025, where they fly to the US for a two week Basketball tour. Includes most essential costs except meals for lunch and dinner.
