Kumeu Volunteer Fire Brigade Annual Santa Run

For the last 19 years the KVFB has been delivering Xmas gifts to children and families in the Riverhead, Taupaki, Kumeu, Waimauku and Muriwai areas.
The recipients have no idea we are coming and the only criteria is that they need some Xmas spirit or have had a tough year.
Names and gift ideas are put forward by the local Police and primary schools.
The brigade then turns up with Santa in our fire engine to the complete surprise of the children and parents.
We often meet children on the Santa Run whom we have met during the year at car accidents or other events.
We hope to raise $3500.00 for 30 plus children.

This is a great cause for kids in need of some Christmas spirit who may have experienced loss or hardship throughout the year. It's great to see the faces of the kids when Santa arrives in a big red fire truck and delivers them a Christmas present or two.
