Help provide support of families and businesses devastated by the Kumeu Flood

Auckland

Homes and businesses are left devastated throughout Kumeu and surrounding areas due to a massive storm overnight which created extensive flooding, leading to over 50 houses being evacuated and left almost all the businesses on the main road underwater. Businesses already struggling under Level 4 restrictions are now finding their livelihoods destroyed and families forced to evacuate as their homes are ruined.

If you were affected by the flood and would like to apply to receive a payment from this fund or you would like to nominate a local business or family, please email us manager@northwestcountry.co.nz with the details. Once funds are available our committee will manage the available funds and divide the fund fairly among the applicants and those known to need assistance. We will also be working with the Rodney local board and social media to find anyone in need that may not be aware of the fund.

Use of funds

I am the Chair of the North West Country Business Association and the committee will hand out the money raised to families and businesses that require support at this desperate time to get back on their feet.
