Upgrade of school signs for Labasa College

Nationwide

As outlined in the Labasa College ex-Students Facebook Page -

https://www.facebook.com/groups/elcian/?ref=share

This page is set up to raise funds to allow the school signs to be upgraded to modern electronic signs and linked to computer systems for updates and promotion of the school events etc. The school was established in 1954 and is one of the highly sought after senior secondary schools in Vanua Levu.

The funding is focussed primarily from ex-Labasa College students.

The monies collected will be sent directly to Labasa College under separate arrangements.

Azam Khan's involvement (page creator)

I am an alumnus of this college (1982/83) and have started a call to raise funds to replace the school dilapidated signs to modern electronic signs.

Use of funds

Directly for sign upgrades- additional funds over and above required for sign upgrades to be used for library books and technology investments in the school

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
