Please help with my last chance to help my dog not need to be euthanised. I have just lost my other dog and can't lose her too.
Hamilton, Waikato
This year has been the most difficult of my life.
I lost my 14.5 year old dog (Kohl) in April and then my father in June.
My remaining dog, Isa (14 years), declined quite fast after losing Kohl. She ended up with glaucoma, which we have been trying to manage with eye drops but they are no longer working. She has also developed an ulcer on her eye. Due to her age, the specialist does not want to put her under anesthetic too long to remove the eye, but is willing to try a procedure that will reduce the pressure in her eye and remove the ulcer. The success rate is 80% and the effects will last long-term. This is basically the only option left for her as she will be in a lot of pain from the pressure and ulcer.
I am currently trying to financially support my mum too, who lost her job due to the effects of a major stroke she had a couple of years ago. It has already cost a lot with my other dog who got sick and all the vets and specialist appointments for Isa.
I would be extremely grateful for any donation that can help me with funding the procedure for the last chance of helping my sweet girl.
Procedure with a vet specialist to remove pressure in Isa's eye along with the ulcer on it. There are also ongoing meds that will be required.
