This past weekend Tony's mother. a close friend and neighbor came to tell me that her 25 year old son Tony had died on the 10/11/2018. The distress and anguish she was in was very hard to watch and is something I never want to see again or have happen to myself, it is a mother's worst nightmare. His passing has come as a complete shock to everyone that knows him. The outpouring of grief and well-wishers has been huge, he was certainly a very respected and loved person., the type of person who always had a smile on his face, was so funny, a loyal friend kind and would help anyone in need- just one of those "really nice guys".All of Tony and Laura's friends and family are at a loss in what to do, say and are all wanting to help in some way, so this is why I thought that by setting up a "give a little page" might be something we can all think about donating to in order to help and feel like we have contributed it may just be something that we can do as family, friends and the community that will financially take a little pressure off Laura at a time when bills and funeral costs all start to pile up and with Christmas coming upon us in six weeks, I am sure Laura will be less stressed to know that there is a little bit of savings there to ensure these kids get a Christmas were they don't need to go without after such a traumatic thing happening to this lovely young family. It is a huge loss to his very close family, but the biggest loss is to Laura his partner and their four children. Tony was an extreamly hard worker and provided finacially while Laura was a stay at home mother. Apart from the huge loss of her soul mate, Laura is now facing bringing up four children without a partner and will now have to face trying to live and bring up these beautiful kids on a benifit of some sort, which we all know is not an easy thing to do finacially.
New Zealand has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, particularly amongst Maori men.
This sad statistic is now a shocking reality for Laura and her four beautiful children. We can not go back in time and change his decision, so now, Laura is alone, trying to raise her 4 children on her own, she is in a terrible state of grief and her world has turned upside down, she faces an uncertain future
to help Tony's family with any bills and extra expenses and ensure that the children above all do not have to struggle anymore than they all ready are. Thank you so very very much for reading this request !!
Thank you so very much 3 December 2018
A huge shout out to all of those who have supported us, not only on this page by donating but to all of those who have shown the family overwhelming support, love and kindness since Tony's unexpected and extremely sad passing. I understand the grief is still fresh in all of our hearts, but together we have all come together to support one another in the most amazing way. I have never seen so much Aroha ever in my lifetime and it just showed the Mana, love, respect and how many lives had been touched by such a young soul in his short lifetime. Tony was everyone's best mate and all of us had a story to tell on how much of an awesome friend, work colleague, partner, father, and son he had been. Thank you all so very very much. Your support has kept the family going, so thank you all so very very much from the bottom of our hearts.
