Laura Goes To Africa

God has placed a very exciting dream on my heart, to bring hope and restoration to the displaced, hurting and lost people of Africa.

I am moving to Africa this May to work/volunteer as a full time missionary. I will begin in Mozambique where I will be practically trained in the local mission field to be equipped to volunteer on a long term/permanent basis on one of the many long term Iris Global projects across Africa, I will also complete a a short stint in Thailand working in red light districts to combat and abolish sex trafficking, this time will allow me to gather priceless experience and aid in bringing freedom to the many trapped in the sex industry..

Following completion of my training I will let God lead me to join a long term project for two plus years. There are many projects within Africa and all around the world. I hope to join an African project, and am excited to see which one will have a space for me.

I believe that we are called to be bold, and I believe, that God is calling me out, to be bold and to go into the unknown, to move to Africa and to work as a volunteer/missionary. In this I will help by practically taking His love and hope to the nations. rebuilding, feeding, educating, empowering and creating a new generation with a future.

My heart is to see thousands of lives changed forever, throughout many generations to come, all influenced in a positive way. I want to assist in moving generations from poverty and oppression, into freedom and abundance.

To be able to do this, I greatly need your help and support.

As a missionary I am fully responsible for my financial support throughout the years. With training and the majority of my first year already raised, I need to continue to raise further funds for on going years in service. I need to raise $30,000NZD per year minimum.

The annual cost of volunteering full time in Africa is a minimum of $30,000NZD. This number consists of rent, utilities, food, water, transport, communication, medical, dental, emergency, retirement fund, personal expenses and giving... all meaning I can work for free within a project bring hope, love and freedom to the people in the local community we will serve.
