Help one of our talented school girl's Lauryn Bond get to the NZ Champs in March 2018
Waikato
Farm Source Ngatea is helping Lauryn Bond, the talented daughter of one of our Waikato farming families, to achieve her dreams and to ultimately follow in the footsteps of New Zealand female shooters such as Natalie Rooney.
Here's a little bit about Lauryn;
I have grown up on a dairy farm on the Hauraki Plains. I started duck shooting when I was seven years of old and am currently Year 11 and attending Hauraki Plains College.
My achievements from clay target shooting since 2015;
3rd in Girl’s single rise and in the team event we placed 3rd at the Nationals. I also won medals for shooting at the Thames gun club for C Grade in 2015.
In 2016 at the Nationals held in Christchurch we won the Girls team event. I placed 3rd in Girls Single Barrel. I have medalled at various shoots for the College in the North Island at Club Competitions. I also won medals for shooting at the Thames Gun Club for C grade in 2016.
In 2017 at the New Zealand North Island Champions held in March at Waikato Gun Club I won the New Zealand Ladies Single Rise and also won Single Rise in C Grade. In Taupo in May I won the Murray Luke Memorial trophy high overall Girl, and in the mixed team we won Murray Luke Memorial trophy. At Thames in May in the Hauraki Plains College team of 2 girls won first place. At Matamata in June I placed 2nd Girl and 1st in the team.
In June I competed at the Thames Club in the Ernie Thornton Memorial and placed 2nd in B Grade. I was put into a team of seven and we won the Reidy Trophy.
In July this year I took away medals for 1st girl in Single Rise, 2nd Girl Points Score and 3rd Girls Single Barrel. And the Girls team won the South Island secondary schools championship in Dunedin.
Farm Source Ngatea love to support our talented youth and Lauryn exemplifies the qualities required for success.
Funds raised for helping Lauryn will be used for travel, accommodation and ammunition costs required to compete in Christchurch early next year.
