Layne is going to the Taekwondo World Championships in Ireland 2017!
Auckland
After nearly seven years of intense training and hard work as part of Paul M Papakura club and the International Taekwondo Federation, Layne has been selected to compete in the Taekwondo World Championships taking place in Dublin, Ireland in October 2017.
This will be her first time competing in Worlds so she is excited about the amazing opportunities that will come from this.
Layne has been selected to compete in these categories:
- Junior 1st degree Individual Female Patterns
- Junior Indiviual Female Sparring
- Junior Female Team Sparring
- Junior Female Team Patterns
Layne is fortunate enough to work with ten time World Champion Carl Van Roon, 8th Dan Black Belt Master Paul McPhail and 7th Dan Black Belt Master Steve Pellow.
It is not everyday that an opportunity to compete against some of the worlds best competitors comes.
Layne is over the moon and expecting only the best of results from this incredible experience.
I am involved with this cause as I am a member of Layne's immediate family (sister).
The funds will go towards flights, accomodation, travel expenses, gear and any other extra costs for the duration of the competition.
We look forward to seeing the outcome.
