One of the greatest investments in a community’s future is in its children, more specifically in the education of its children.

Education is so much more than just learning.

It’s about the environment in which children learn, the resources available to facilitate that learning and the ability of the teachers to draw on all the resources that they need to create, encourage and motivate a life-long love of learning.

This school sits on the beautiful small island of Agistri situated many miles away from the metropolis of Athens (Greece).

Island life can be idyllic as a tourist but for these children embarking on their learning journey, life can be a bit more complicated . The economic situation in Greece has hit these usually self-sufficient and proud small islands.

Resources are scarce and some are non-existent. Computers and technology that works, printers, white boards and projectors would be an advantage for the school.

Children are this community's future and education is the key, they are Greece’s future and each and every child will determine the future of this beautiful island.
