Let’s get Chloe moving…

    Thank you everyone for your support, We are so excited to let you know that even thou Chloe still can't feel her legs, she has got them moving and has stopped the paralysis moving into her arms and hands!

    After a stint in hospital with a nasty infection, We really struggled to see how she would bounce back.

    After a reduced week at therapy, the following Monday, she moved her legs for the first time since March 2021.

    Chloe is so excited and with the change of mindset, the excitement is helping set some amazing goals with her therapy team, not only does she have all of you supporting her, other patients, carers, admin staff and all the therapists cheering her on.

    Lots of tears too!

    Thank you all so much. We are here till the 2nd September and waiting on confirmation when she will move to rehab less intensive In Auckland to carry on what she has achieved here. The next 3 weeks here will set her up for recovery back in New Zealand.

  • Chloe's rehab/treatment journey has begun

    Chloe and I (Mum) arrived in Sydney Sunday 3rd July, we spent most of the week up north at our beautiful cousins place.

    Between rain and more rain we enjoyed our time arrived back to Sydney Friday.

    Chloe started rehab yesterday (Monday), there were happy tears, lots of hard work from Chloe and as the last 2days of videos show she is in the right place for the help she needs.

    There is parts of our old Chloe showing through, her therapists have quickly worked out she is cheeky and has a sense of humor!!

    She will Definitely keep them on their toes!!!

    We cannot Thank You all enough for your support in getting our girl the help she needs, Watching our daughter disappear and suffer so much pain before our eyes has been heartbreaking and we felt like we were failing as parents.

    The Peck Family would like me to pass on their gratitude for all the support they have received from/coming in, without all of this we would not be in the position to get Chloe to Sydney for much needed treatment.

    Chloe and Alanna will head to Sydney on the 03rd July, with treatment commencing the 11th July (due to NSW Covid regulations, they are required to be there 1 week prior to treatment commencing). All going well Russell will join them for a period of time the first week of treatment to support both Chloe and Alanna.

    Chloe is booked at the Rehab Centre for 8 weeks of intense treatment, Alanna has been super amazing and booked the flight there and accommodation

    Costs;

    Rehab Treatment $22,000 (8 weeks), Accommodation $11,000, Flights $1700 (one way) plus food costs & transport

    As you can see this is a total of $34,700 plus food costs & transports which means where are short of around $15,000..

    Let's get Chloe moving..............Please keep sharing this page with your family and friends as I would love to see this put no pressure on Alanna and Russell financially.

    Thank you everyone for helping us get Chloe to Sydney.

    We are just waiting on confirmation for a date to start there and if we need to be there a week earlier due to their government covid rules.

    We have a cost of $12,200 for 4 weeks of treatment, this will be minimum with the aim of 6-8 weeks for optimum recovery. There will be a few factors to how long we are there.

    We need to make this as successful as possible and couldn't do it without you all.

    Chloe is losing function/feeling in upper body as well and we need to stop it.

    We need to pay for flights, accommodation and anything else that pops up for Chloe so it's looking like around $30,000
