To help Jordan complete her Dance studies and pursue her Dance Career.

International

Jordan has always loved dancing. We couldn't afford the lessons when she was younger as we simply didn't have the money after lifes general expenses and four kids. At the age of 16 Jordan decided she wanted to try out a dance class at WADPA, a local Dance Studio. She had a part time job at countdown and fully funded her classes. She never once asked us for financial assistance. She increased her classes to include different genres of dance and entered local competitions

In the space of four years, she has studied in every class of dance offered at WADPA, she competed in many competitions and has won many. She was nominated as Dancer of the year, which qualified her to dance a solo at SHOWCASE on the Gold Coast, in Jan 2018.

Whilst at showcase, she placed 7th overall for soloist, and her troupe was placed second overall in Australia and New Zealand, however their troupe dance, Unsteady, winning first place.

Jordan then started looking at what next, and NZ did not have the advanced courses she was looking for, so she applied at many schools in Australia. Jordan won a half scholarship at Lee Academy and saved hard for her new chapter.

To that date, she still had not asked for any help with fees, competitions, travel etc. She did this all on her own. Jordan is part of aKrobatiKa, a troupe formed by Lee Academy's director and they have just been awarded with TWO GOLDEN BUZZERS on Australia's Got Talent. They are off to the Grand Finals.

She has been in Australia since January, and has been trying to find a part-time job that fits in with her very demanding dance schedule. Jordan has two years of full-time study left and we are looking for any financial assistance to help her achieve her dream.

Now that Covid - 19 has emerged, her options over there are very limited, in fact no support. We don't want her to come home, as she will not be able to return. The Australian Government won't help her. This is a huge ask I know, but any help for her fees is much appreciated.

Mel Davies' involvement (page creator)

I am her mum, and here to help her pursue her dream dance career. She is studying full time in Australia and we are here in NZ doing what we can to help. She is unable to apply for financial assistance there and her dance schedule limits her working hours.

Use of funds

The funds will used to help pay her Dance fees and go towards her living expenses. The funds will also help get her to Auditions for any Dance career opportunities.
