Support Oliver in the next step of his Basketball Journey!
Hamilton, Waikato
Oliver is a 17 yr old athlete, from Hamilton, NZ. Oliver dabbled in basketball growing up, but really fell in love with the game as he began at St John’s College. His hard work quickly paid off as he was chosen for the St John’s Premier A teams, as well as being selected to represent Waikato.
Earlier this year, Oliver was selected to participate in the Hoopnation Xposure Tour in Melbourne, Australia. Oliver was also selected as 1 of the best 24 athletes to attend the U17 New Zealand Basketball Tall Blacks Camp. Other highlights include, winning gold at the ‘23 Hoopnation Junior Showcase, winning gold at the Mel Young Easter Classic and winning gold at the BBNZ 3x3 Secondary Schools Tournament in the Open grade.
He has been offered the incredible opportunity to attend Crestwood Preparatory Academy in Toronto, Canada on a basketball scholarship, starting in September 2023 where he will complete his high school education. Crestwood plays in the top league in Canada, as well as one of the top leagues in the USA. This is a major step in reaching his goal of achieving a University Scholarship in the USA.
With both our sons training hard and achieving great results in basketball, costs involved quickly add up. Family, Friends and Basketball fans, we would appreciate any financial contributions you are in a position to make to help us support Oliver as he furthers his basketball journey. This will take some of the financial pressure off our Whanau.

Oliver has arrived and settling in 12 August 2023
Oliver left for Toronto on Monday so it has been nearly a week. His luggage went missing in LA but he is coping ok so far. He has trained every day since arriving (really enjoying his new coaching team) and played in his first game tonight. We couldn’t be more proud of him. It has been a huge adjustment for us all here but being able to video call with him regularly helps. Our page closes tomorrow and we once again want to thank you all for your support.
