Let's give Bernie the best possible chance to beat this darn cancer!

If you live in the Bay, you may have seen Bernie out and about cheerfully mowing lawns and doing property maintenance. We would like to keep it that way.

Bernie's children need his wise guidance, his grandchildren need his hugs and we all need his love. This is why we need you to help us fund the immunotherapy treatment that is his only chance to conquer cancer.

Because Bernie has one kidney that does not function to its full potential due to a previous illness, chemotherapy is not an option. If it were, funding would not be an issue. Unfortunately, immunotherapy, while widely acknowledged as being an effective treatment, is not Pharmac funded and costs up to $100,000 for 12 months treatment.

With a new grandchild arriving in August and many more milestones still to witness we are reaching out to the community to fundraise, to give Bernie the best chance possible.

It is so hard to ask for help when we have been the ones doing the giving. But sometimes life throws a curve ball and all you can do is turn to others. Your generosity means everything to us.
