Let's help Jim spend time with his family

Jim is the kind of person that has always helped others anyway he can. If he's got something you need, it's yours. Now it's our turn to do all we can to support Jim during this difficult time.

Jim has been finally diagnosed with multiple myeloma + AL- bone marrow and blood plasma cancer along with AL - a protein called amyloidosis that has left Jim's heart working at 60%. He has lost 1/2 his body weight in 12 months, his skin just needs to be lightly knocked for it to peel and he has difficulty standing now without aids and is likely to need a wheelchair soon.

Jim has trained as a psychiatric nurse and worked as medical personnel for the RNZAF. He has been heavily involved in trapshooting in NZ, the Kaiapoi gun club for 30yrs, Co-founder of the Chch rod and gun club for 26 yrs, been a gun Smith for 15 yrs and has also been a member of the round table and Lions group.

Although he was not keen and it took some persuading for him to allow me to set up this page, I know that he needs this help to be able to create some special memories with his two daughters Nikki and Jacqui and three grandsons. Levi, Flynn and Carter. He doesn't want much just wants to be able to have a few meals out, and the odd trip while he still feels well enough to spend some quality time with his family.
