Raising money through violin playing to help young women flourish in leadership through Whanake o te Kōpara-The rise of the female bellbird

Nationwide

We need your help in making sure leadership development programmes like Whanake o te Kōpara-The rise of the female bellbird continue running for young women.

Learning from the founders of Women in Sport Aotearoa and The Shift Foundation, Sarah Leberman and Fran McEwen, I was really fortunate to have been given an opportunity to attend this 6 month young women leadership development programme last year. This programme brought a lot of joy, confidence and development especially with all the amazing young women I met around the country and through the amazing team from these 2 charitable organisations who helped out as well - Erin, Kata, Vicky and Kelly.

Through either busking or posting different violin music short videos, I hope to keep you all entertained through my violin playing especially on the playtogiveback instagram page.

The money raised will go towards the current and future Whanake o te Kopara programme offerings for 20 young women to develop their leadership skills with a focus on sport, recreation and wellbeing.

Thank you so much!  1 July 2023

I just wanted to take the time to thank you all for contributing to the fundraiser! It was quite a long challenge for me - 8 weeks altogether to get 40 violin videos together for this fundraiser. I hope you enjoy the violin videos I posted on Instagram- they were both fun and challenging at the same time. Your donation goes such a long way to helping young women develop their leadership skills! So again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
