It is with regret I need to inform you that Grant has passed away on Saturday 26th April, so no further funds are required.
I thank you all for your generous donations over the last few months that gave Grant a shot at life but alas the prescribed unfunded drugs didn't help.
Thanks again for your help for one great man who was loved by many.

It is with great sadness to let everyone know that Grant passed away yesterday Saturday 26th April.
The drug that was being used initially on Grant wasn't working so a second choice drug was tried with no real benefits. It was decided by his medical team to try an overseas drug but things never got that far. It was Thursday this week that the medical team told Grant that there were no more options available to him and only had weeks to live. Well weeks in 2 days turned into days and then hours.
Grant passed with his family around him.
A wonderful man taken too soon.
His funeral will be at his beloved Waitemata rugby club later this week..
To all of you who donated to Grants Givealittle fund, thank you all. This all gave him a chance and some comfort.

Hello all Gruntas friends, families and supporters
Lots has happened since my last update.
Grunta has had a recent trip to hospital for several days after getting a lung infection. He had earlier had pneumonia but thanks to the antibiotics and the excellent health care he is receiving he has got over both these setbacks.
While on the antibiotics Grunta cannot continue his prescribed drugs which in itself is worrying. The doctors haven't been happy with the original prescribed drug so he is to start on a different drug but unfortunately this is still an unfunded drug called Carfilzomib.
There was a fundraiser for Grunta last Saturday at his beloved Waitemata rugby club which he attended albeit on crutches and is now carrying a lot of fluid on his body due to his condition. Speaking of Waitemata rugby, Grunta at a recent AGM was voted on as the new President which he fully deserves.
Grunta is in a desperate fight for his very worthy life so please spread the word regarding this give a little page.

Speaking with Grant he' has had a bit of a hard time lately with him getting pneumonia and the doctors not happy with the prescribed drugs not doing what they should. He's been having radiation treatment which has made the myeloma start to back track. The doctors are yet to decide but they may try a different drug to the original one but this is still unfunded.
But as usual Grunter is his usual cherry self and looking at things positively.
Let's get the word out their everyone to keep the donations coming in because Grunter has a Long road ahead of him and the donations for this good man are vital.

Hi everyone.
Thanks heaps, for the fantastic donations that have been coming in to help Grunter from Whanau and mates. We are a long way down the road in our quest to achieve our goal, but we still need everyone to put it out there to others that Grunter needs our help. The Give Little message should be on Facebook within a couple of days to push this message out to other groups of people that Grunter knows.
Grunter has been having his weekly injections and is doing great, but we won't know for a couple of weeks how the drugs have been affecting the cancer. As always, I'm sure he will beat this but let's get the word out there and support our brother.

Grunter had his first dose of medication last Thursday and looking at him on the Friday, he looked fantastic. NO doubt this is the first step on his journey back to full health. Go Grunter!
