Raising money to offer treatments for suicide/mental health for people who have nowhere else to go.

Nationwide

Frontiers of Hope was established to address the current mental health crisis. There are lots of services that cater to the mild to moderate, but there are few services that offer help for people with complex needs. Many mental health services just focus on anxiety and depression, we help with suicidal behaviour, PTSD, head injuries, sensory issues and more. We have no age limit.

We are a charity offering state of the art services that are often half the price of other organisations. We are not trying to make money, but we do need to cover costs. Even when our services are cheaper than many others, a lot of people still can't afford that. We are raising money to ensure that anyone who needs help can have it.

Some other services just offer people two sessions, we have no limits on the number of sessions we offer someone.

Many of the people that have come to us have come from public services who were not able to help them. If we cannot help these people, they have nowhere else to go.

We have been operating for 18 months. Our director, Michael Hempseed is the author of the book ‘Being A True Hero: Understanding and Preventing Suicide in Your Community’. The book is being used by the New Zealand Police and more

Michael has been featured on Seven Sharp, Radio NZ, Newstalk ZB and many others.

Here is one interview Michael gave,
