Doing all that we can to support a member of the Booths family
Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui
Hi All,
A few weeks ago Nathan was diagnose as having Lymphoma a form Cancer, there is 2 types and tests are still ongoing as to which type it is. Nathan has had a rough couple of weeks, having spent a week in hospital after getting a major leg infection after a biopsy done.
Nathan has worked at Booths for nearly 17 years and started with us when there were 40 odd trucks in the fleet. Nathan’s son Ryan works in the PMR crossdock as a forklift and van driver and is just like his father and certainly just like is old man and gets on and gets the job done.
Nathan has a couple of big weeks ahead, starting treatment and still coming to terms with his diagnoses, he is being quite stubborn as you would expect but certainly appreciates messages of support and well wishes, in his words on Saturday when a staff member visited him “I’m going to beat this F**KEN thing”
I have worked with and alongside Nathan for the past 8 years and want to show my support by helping raise funds to ease financial pressure ahead.
Funds raised go toward Ibrutinib treatment (not funded for Mantle Cell Lymphoma) and living costs.

Thank you to everyone who has donated. I truly appreciate your support — it means so much to me and my family.
The last month has been incredibly tough, but I am finally home after spending around 16 days in hospital.
Can do will do!
Nathan has Mantle Cell Lymphoma and has now completed his first round of chemotherapy. He needs a medication called Ibrutinib, which unfortunately is not funded in New Zealand for this type of cancer.
The first 20 days of medication alone cost $1,800, and he may need to remain on this medication for up to two years.
Every donation, message, and share genuinely helps, and we are so grateful for all the kindness and support we’ve received.
Thanks you Shelley
