Let's give a little so the family can celebrate Jeremy's life and mourn his loss, without a financial burden
Hastings, Hawke's Bay
At just 49 years old, Jeremy passed away in Melbourne last week after a long battle with mental illness and years of deep personal struggles and mental torment. His passing has left his family and five deeply loved children devastated.
Jeremy was known for his smart mind, kindness and generosity. He gave freely to those in need – supporting single parents, the homeless and needy, including those in prison. His heart for others touched countless lives, and his absence is felt deeply by everyone who knew him.
As the family grieves, they face the difficult task of collecting his belongings and bringing immediate and extended family home to New Zealand to grieve. This fund has been set up to help cover funeral costs as well as supporting his children and a family member to travel back to New Zealand, and giving him the farewell he deserves.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards travel and funeral expenses. Anything left over will go to his family.
Please keep Jeremy’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this painful time. Your love, kindness, and support mean more than words can express
I am a family friend for many years now - you will know me as Rachel Johns. I was an active part of Bay City Church (now Ascende Global) and lived with the Connell's for a time.
