      20 December 2016

Oh thank you so much Gae and family, Deb & Rata (and two guest donors) for your wonderfully kind words and your generous donations before my page finishes off on Xmas day. I am so grateful for your support…and your beautiful words bring a tear or a smile – I have loved the children and parents so much and felt so blessed to have had a chance to know you. A big thank you to everyone who left kind words and donations – I really believe that it gave me renewed life to know that I made a bit of a difference in my work which has been such a passion in my life. My next scan is next week and the results come through on the 9th of January….so cross fingers for me! J

At any time I am available on 021 2112410 if there is anything I can do for you in return.

Lots of love and many, many thanks from Cecily xxxxx

  • Can you give a little more?

      5 November 2016

Nearly one year down (since symptoms first started) and let’s hope for another! Thank you for your help to keep Cecily alive as long as possible. She has used up all the money from our previous fundraising on medical treatments and living and needs our help.

This site will close in a month…..so time is limited. If you or anyone you know would like to make Cecily’s Christmas special – please donate any of the below objects (or money) to her in the next few weeks before this page expires.

Thank you, I know Cecily will be very grateful to receive these gifts.

Living on the assisted living benefit is a bit of an oxymoron as nobody can possibly live on $300 and try to heal themselves . HOWEVER, if you have abundance you like to share with others, this is your ‘last’ chance to give towards what Cecily needs to keep her cancer at bay for a bit longer.

If you can, please contribute to fund the expensive supplements that need to be taken daily:

    • Vitamin C (masses)

    • B3 Niacin (lots)

    • Vitamin D (lots)

    • Echinacea

She also cannot afford and needs:

    • An electric coffee warmer plate

    • Blender or bullet for her lemon juice therapy

    • A specialised food thermometer to gauge the temperature of her medicine

    • Food vouchers from New World or Commonsense organics (in exchange for a session with her)

    • Vegetable seeds or seedlings

Please post directly to Cecily with your well wishes.

Her address is: 113 Volga Street, Island Bay, Wellington

(Or drop in to see her for a quick cup of tea! If you do intend dropping in, just txt to make sure she’s home 021 2112410)

Whatever you can contribute would be very welcome.

    Leah

With deep gratitude and appreciation to all of you for your wonderful comments and financial support! Your donations have enabled me to buy ‘alternative’ health treatments that I believe have really aided an improvement in the state of my health. In April I had a week of radiation which really compromised my immune system and I was very ill with side-effects. Luckily, (with your help), I was able to visit a really good medical herbalist (best in NZ apparently) who gave me lots of supplements to help and I also sourced some ‘special’ medicine which, although expensive, has helped me. I went to South Africa in May to see my family (Jasper came too) and we had a glorious time and I was able to eat and breathe and live normally. By then the side effects from the radiation were over and the supplements and ‘alternative’ medicine made me feel better than I have in 6 months! It was wonderful!!!!! Since returning here I have still been feeling quite well. Minor pain in the right lung but that’s all. The full body CT scan I had on returning from South Africa showed that the cancer is NOT in the brain or in the abdomen (previous CT scan showed it was in the adrenals but now no sign of it) and my right lung has re-inflated a little which is wonderful as I can now turn in bed at night without discomfort. A reason to celebrate! I am only due for another scan in a couple of months, so I won’t know how well my natural medicines are working. I have just bought another lot of natural medicine with the last of the money you all gave me and hope it will have made a difference and by the next scan my tumour will have decreased in size considerably (instead of having grown). I am so grateful because without these donations I would never have been able to afford this expensive medicine – thank you all! In the meantime, I live to die another day and thank goodness for each day that passes. Thinking of you all with love and gratitude, Cecily

To all the people who have left me notes and money on this page…… I’ve got to tell you I am overwhelmed and awed by your generosity and kindness. Thank you SO MUCH!

The last two weeks have been horrendous emotionally but my close friends have rallied around and taken over my life (in a good way) and when Leah said she was doing this page I wasn’t keen (who wants to ask for financial help?) but she can be pretty insistent! However when your beautiful comments came flowing in it brought back floods of happy memories and I had to limit myself to reading them only every few days because the tears would flow. I remember each and every one of you special children no matter how far back we go. It has been a privilege to be part of your lives. To the parents and friends who wrote, your words have amazed me and made me feel very grateful to have known you all.

I’ve taken off this week to have some space to reflect and rest. At this stage I won’t be doing chemo or radiation and will do my best to fight the cancer with natural medicine and hope to prolong a quality life as long as possible.
