Levi will be running a marathon of orienteering courses for cancer research as his grandpa passed away from leukemia two years ago.
Auckland
Two years ago in August my grandpa passed away from leukemia.
He has had such a huge impact on my life, and his love for everyone still inspires me to this day. I wanted to set myself a challenge I could achieve through hard work and determination, and through this raise money for cancer research so others may benefit from it.
I have set myself a goal to run a marathon's worth of orienteering courses on the 4th and 5th of December. Orienteering is one of the many things I love to do and my grandpa used to love coming and supporting me by cheering me on, taking photos of me running with sweat dripping off my red face running my heart out. I choose this length as it is a massive task but I want to do something that is hard to extend me well beyond my limits to push me to strive for the best I can be.
This is going to be an enormous task for me to prepare and get fit for, but I'm ready for the challenge and I'm determined to achieve the goals I set for myself. I have tons of orienteering course maps and will set the course to equal a marathon's worth.
I've set up an Instagram Page called @LeviCancerFundraiser where I will be occasionally posting training updates and will post a montage video of it sometime after.
