Get Liam to the Globe! - Young Shakespeare Company 2018

For the past 4 years I have been involved in the SGCNZ University of Otago Sheilah Wynn National Shakespeare Festival, I sat in the crowd on the final night looking to the stars that were the Young Shakespeare Company on that stage and I told myself, "One day, it's gonna be me on that stage, and I'm going to make the audience laugh, have a good time just like they are, and step on that Globe STAGE in London"! Now, In 2017, after having participated in the SGCNZ National Shakespeare Schools Production 2016 & 2017 (making new family, having a world of fun,and learning more about Shakespeare) I have important news.. ✨✨✨

I am PROUD to announce that I have been selected by SGCNZ CEO Dawn Sanders and her selection panel to be a member of the SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company 2018, representing Gisborne and New Zealand as an ambassador for Shakespeare and the Performing Arts ✨✨✨!!!

This means that I, and 23 other extremely talented performers will be travelling to London in July next year to perform our very own piece on Shakespeare's Globe Theatre stage,and work with the industries top directors and tutors!

I want to thank EVERY person that has helped me reach this achievement in my life including my family, friends, school and community! This is an amazing privilege and opportunity, not to mention one of the best things that has happened to me in my life, as well as my 23 other friends!

I am currently fundraising $8500 which is due by May next year. I will be throwing fundraiser shows in Gisborne over the next couple of months, sausage sizzles, market stalls, finding sponsors!

Please donate to my cause and help me get to the London and make my community proud! ALL of my sponsors will be acknowledged after the trip, and I plan on bringing the skills I learn in YSC back to NZ to share with my local community! I look forward to the challenge of fundraising and for the awesome trip that awaits me next year.
