Library Project for Ugandan Primary School

Thank you again to everyone who donated. I have spent the past week in Uganda and am leaving today.

We successfully managed to complete the project. We had some shelving built by a local carpenter which has a great amount of potential space for more books in the future. We managed to purchase over 100 textbooks for the school, from years 1 to 7 across every subject that is taught. There are between 3-5 books per subject and also a teacher’s guidebook per subject. They follow the Ugandan curriculum.

This is a great start for the school, as previously the teacher’s relied on a few out dated textbooks to guide their teaching.

The school has a receptionist who will monitor the library and ensure the books are cared for.

Thank you again for donating, especially given the economic time it is. These books will no doubt bring more educational opportunities to these children who are eager to learn.
