Life Changing Surgery

I have suffered from fibromyalgia - daily chronic pain and fatigue among other debilitating symptoms for more than 15 years now. It is more exhausting and hope shattering than I know how to put into words. After a failed suicide attempt, which was in part a result of battling against pain for just too long, I had to step down from full time work and change my lifestyle to cope. I am now studying so that I can eventually work part time in a specialised field once I have my degree. It is hard to stay focused and keep hopeful when I am in as much pain as I am every day. It is also hard to imagine that life could be truly manageable again in the future. The extra weight I am carrying is exacerbating all of my symptoms and effecting my daily life in countless ways. The way my body is with dealing with the fibromyalgia and hormone issues, I can't shift the weight naturally, not through lack of trying. I need to take a surgical approach to weight loss, however, because I don't have diabetes I don’t qualify for public funding. I've never asked for help like this before and as hard as this is for me to do, I can't do this on my own. For $9K I can get surgery that will help me to shift a significant amount of weight, get back to a healthy BMI and help me get some kind of a normal life back. For $13K I can get an even better surgery with less long term complications and longer lasting results. If I could get the support, I would like to have the surgery at the end of the year. I have so much more to offer the world but I am trapped in a body that is holding me back. I know there are people who deserve help more than I do, but I am completely exhausted and stuck, and would appreciate any support toward my cause.
