It is heartbreaking for me to let you all know that our beautiful Jill passed away peacefully in the early hours this morning. Her smile, generosity to others, kindness and love is how she will be remembered. She was my best friend. I will miss her forever and love her forever. Thank you so much for everyone that helped her on her journey, she fought this with everything she had xx I hope one day we can all get together to share stories and memories to celebrate her life. Rest in Peace my beautiful friend xx

I’m so sorry to hear that sad sad news. She will be greatly missed! My daughter Grace (and I) loved seeing Jill at Jillyfish - a legacy that she will always be remembered for. Our thoughts and love go out to Reece and the rest of her family and friends and to you. Special friends and people like Jill are a gift on this earth, as it is a gift to have known her. Kindest wishes and hugs, Kirsty, Grace and Lily Brewer xxx

thank you for your message Kathryn, it is the hardest message to read, I can only imagine how hard it was to write and how much your heart is breaking. My love for Jill is one that has come from intermittent opportunities to have fun at the aquatic events when she travelled to Australia. Our last coffee and chat at Caloundra looking over the beach will remain precious in my memories. From all over here across the ditch in the aquatic world we are so grateful to have shared some laughs with the bubbly, lovable, elegant lady..... Jill. Rest in Peace and know the world is a better place because you were here x

Sorry for the delay in updates. Firstly thank you so much for your continuing donations ...heartfelt thanks to all of you.

Jill hit a bit of a speed bump at the scheduled treatment last Friday. She has had some pretty gnarly side affects that have hit her hard. Unable to have treatment last week she has stayed in Auckland for an extra week. We travelled to Whangarei yesterday and thank goodness was able to have the IV chemo today. She is still pretty fragile but on the up with her determination and positivity. This is hard for both her and Reece and hopefully we are on the upward climb. I am going to post a graphic pic of Jill. It is shit but it is real. It is her journey and she really is so thankful for this opportunity to kick this cancer the best she can. This is a tough road but one she is willing to ride as long as it takes. Never ever give up hope...xx

Well another treatment down and Jill is feeling really good. The week leading up to treatment wasnt so kind with Jill experiencing nausea and a mouthful of severe ulcers which caused a lot of pain and discomfort. However the week gone since treatment has been fabulous with another Vit C infusion. It's thanks to all you amazing people that's allowing Jill to keep living life and to enjoy and appreciate the small things in life that mean the most. One of those things so important to Jill is a daily walk with her girl Harper. Thank you all xx

Hi everyone, Jill had to shelve out $5405.00 for two (yes only two) non funded prescription drugs for her Beacon CRC Triplet Therapy that will last her one month. Unbelievable, if she had being diagnosed with Melanoma these would be funded!! Next week Jill is travelling to Whangarei to have her treatment and a consultation with her Oncologist. Jill is such an inspiration, her fighting spirit never waivers. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your donations and kind words...

  • Still Smiling...

Hi everyone, yesterday after a four hour delay due to fog in Auckland, Jill finally arrived late for her first appointment. So this morning she has had her Portacath put in and is at this moment having her first lot of cocktails. (not Margueritas unfortunately) Jill is one of many with CRC lucky enough to get on the Beacon Triplet Phase 3 trial for colorectal cancer. Two of the three drugs are unfunded and your donations help immensely. She's feeling great, sitting like lady muck, chomping on the bit to get out of the chair and do something. Still smiling and so thankful to you all that have helped. Jill will be in Auckland and or Whangarei every two weeks until such time as needed. Thanks again we love you all xx

  • A little thank you personally from Jill to you all xx

The genorosity of people truly blows me away and Im so thankful to each and everyone of you 💕 thank you from the bottom of my heart. Im looking at privately funded treatment as the publicly funded options are not of any help to me now. I will also need to base myself elsewhere to access these drugs/clinic, so your genorosity is so much appreciated. I cant express enough love and thanks to each and everyone of you.
