Kiwi vet providing life-saving surgery Romduol the street-kitten - a bit more needed to give him a full and healthy life!

Canterbury

Kiwi vet Dr. Trish is helping provide life-saving surgery for Romduol - a wee street-kitten rescued

after a dog attack paralysed him. She's raised as much money as possible, the clinic has discounted his care as much as possible. After discount, the bill is $1,060.00 and $500 has already been raised. $560 is the balance remaining.

From Trish: "Though there were no visible wounds, Romdoul was far more hurt than he appeared. X-rays revealed severe internal trauma: a dislocated vertebra, a twisted pelvis, and two serious hernias - one that had pushed his abdominal organs into his chest. For such a small, fragile body, these injuries were overwhelming. Within a day his condition worsened. His gums turned pale, his breathing became strained, and we knew we had to act fast so we rushed into emergency surgery. Despite the odds, Romdoul made it through.

His body is still recovering, but his spirit remains unbroken. He is sweet, trusting, and remarkably calm, even after all he’s endured. He greets us with soft eyes and quiet resilience. He is not just getting better, he is fighting for the life he almost lost. We believe in him. And we believe he deserves a future.

Romdoul’s story is a reminder of the difference love, compassion, and veterinary care can make. With your support, we can help him complete his journey to recovery and give him the second chance he so deeply deserves.

Jemma Penelope's involvement (page creator)

I've worked with Dr. Trish and her Siem Reap Veterinary Clinic in Cambodia to provide life-saving surgery to another street cat - hence our funds are too low to cover all of Romduol's costs ourselves! Sabine is my friend, who is the cat's current carer.

Use of funds

Surgery to repair his injuries, desexing, and vaccinations.
