Life up-ended in the Waikato River; Help us get back on land.

On the 17th of November we were traveling when we parked by the Waikato River, NZ and my wife got out of the car to get my blood glucose reader patches (I am diabetic amongst other health problems) and the rocking of the car sent the Jeep rolling forward despite the handbrake being on. The dogs and I were still inside and I was unable to get across to the other side to be of any help.

The jeep careened down the hill and then dropped over a 5 foot embankment with a crash before carrying on rolling right down into the river.

We all got to shore, but the Jeep kept going until most of it was under water.

Our whole lives were in that jeep.

But most of all, my whole charity business can no longer work without a camera and laptop.

I own Focus Forward, a charity business that makes moments in some of the most important moments in our lives: (including but not limited to) funerals, hospice situations, medical transitions, gender euphoria photos, still births, premature births, and much more. We deal with a lot of people in the mental health system and the general health system.

This is has been one of my biggest dreams and the idea that I can't help people with my particular skill kills me.

To try and make up for it, I am trying to make a blog from my phone to build a blog full of resources and links and help for people who are homeless (like ourselves), sick, mentally unwell and /or low income.

I may not have a home, but I can still help others.
